How to Install the OMNI FLD-27 (Pakistan Wiring Guide)

The FLD-27 requires a neutral wire at the switch box. In most homes built or rewired after the year 2000 in Pakistan, neutral is already pulled to the switch position. In older houses (pre-1995 wiring), neutral may only be at the ceiling rose — in that case ask any qualified electrician to extend it; it’s a 15-minute job.

1. Switch off the mains breaker for that room.
2. Remove the existing fan regulator and light switch from the wall.
3. Connect L (live in), N (neutral), L1 (fan load), L2 (light load).
4. Mount the FLD-27 in the back-box and tighten the screws.
5. Switch the breaker back on, open the Tuya / Smart Life app, tap “+”, and follow the WiFi/Bluetooth pairing prompts.

Will the FLD-27 work with my ceiling fan in Pakistan?

Yes — the FLD-27 is rated for standard AC ceiling fans up to 400W, which covers nearly every domestic ceiling fan sold in Pakistan including Pak Fan, GFC, Royal, SK, Khurshid, Climax and Millat. It does not work with fans that have a built-in remote receiver or DC/BLDC fans with their own controller.

How many fan speed levels does the FLD-27 have?

5 speed levels (1–5 gears), displayed on the panel itself. You can change speed from the wall touch panel, the Smart Life app, or by voice through Alexa/Google Home.

What’s the maximum light load it supports?

800W on the light circuit. That’s enough for a large chandelier, a row of LED panels, or multiple ceiling lights wired in parallel. The light side is an on/off switch, not a dimmer — for full brightness dimming, pair it with our separate WiFi dimmer module on the same circuit, or use dimmable smart bulbs.

Does the FLD-27 need a neutral wire?

Yes. Like all WiFi-powered smart fan-and-light controllers, the FLD-27 requires a neutral wire at the switch position to power its WiFi electronics. Most Pakistani homes built or rewired since 2000 already have neutral at the switch.

Does it support 5 GHz WiFi?

No — like all Tuya smart switches, the FLD-27 uses 2.4 GHz WiFi only. Most Pakistani routers (PTCL, StormFiber, Nayatel, Transworld) broadcast both bands automatically, so this is rarely an issue. If your phone is on 5 GHz during pairing, just switch to the 2.4 GHz SSID once.

Can I control the FLD-27 when I’m not at home?

Yes — as long as your home WiFi has internet, you can control the fan speed and light from anywhere through the Tuya / Smart Life app.

Does the FLD-27 work without internet?

Wall touch controls always work — even with no internet, no power to the router, or even with WiFi switched off, you can use the FLD-27 manually like a normal switch. Schedules also continue to run on the device itself. Only voice control and remote app control need internet.

What happens after a power cut?

You can configure the FLD-27 to do one of three things after a power restart: always come on, always stay off, or return to whatever state it was in before the cut. The “remember last state” mode is most popular for Pakistani homes due to frequent load shedding.
